If this fan-made video set to the disco hit "YMCA" is any indication, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle of the Philippines is the internet's favourite for the next leader of the Catholic Church. As the cardinals meet in the Vatican to select Benedict's successor, netizens are campaigning on behalf of Tagle, who is also know as "Chito" by his admirers.
An Italian software company recently identified Tagle as the most active cardinal on Facebook. According to the report, his page alone accounts for more than half of all social media use by the church's cardinals.
Fans have flooded Tagle's Facebook page, which has 125,000 'likes', with messages of support.
