Vucetich recalls Ochoa for Mexico qualifiers

[HEXAGONAL COUNTDOWN] Mexico's new coach, Victor Manuel Vucetich, has recalled goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa for El Tri's World Cup qualifying matches against Panama and Costa Rica.

Once again, Real Sociedad star Carlos Vela, who has not played for the national team since March 2011, was left out, as were three foreign-based players who played in the 2-0 loss to the USA: Andres Guardado, who plays for Spain's Valencia, and Diego Reyes and Hector Herrera, who both moved to Portugal over the summer.

Manchester United's Javier Hernandez, Espanyol's Hector Moreno and Villarreal's Giovani dos Santos and Javier Aquino were the other European-based players recalled.

Meanwhile, the second week of training for domestic players begins Sunday in Mexico City. The only player missing from the group that trained this week is the injured Angel Reyna.
